These pictures are from our 4th of July vacation in Travis City, Michigan. Our 87-year-old mother, Erma Cherny of White Oak, was on her first fishing trip ever! And yes, she DID catch the biggest fish. She and my brother Jeff Cherny (formerly of White Oak, now living in Clarkston, Michigan), managed to catch a lake trout the same time as Mom. The crew from the Showtime charter said it is unusual to reel in two at the exact same time -- especially when it's a mother and son. As you can guess from the photos, she can't wait to do it again!
